Writing about the majesty and person of Jesus Christ is almost intimidating to know just where to begin. Jesus Christ was unique, the only Son of God. He was beyond anyone to compare the ultimate image of the man God desired. In developing a personal relationship with Him we learn several things about our Lord and Savior in lieu of the scriptures explaining the fullness of God lived in Christ in bodily form (Colossians 2:9).
In him was life, and that life was the light of men and although the world was made through him, the world did not recognize him (John 1: 3,10). To man he became the light that demonstrated the love that surpasses knowledge so you may obtain the fullness of God (Ephesians 3:18-19).
Jesus was recognized as a carpenter the Son of Mary who had brothers and sisters (Mark 6:3) whose ancestry could be traced back to Adam through David and the patriots. Jesus had a recognizable ancestry belonging to his earthly family that documented as having human origin. Yet Jesus was conceived through the Holy Spirit which gave him the qualities and nature of the divine. Then in his life time God confirmed Jesus with signs and wonders to be his anointed one, his one and only son. So as men we believe that Jesus Christ existed as God living in a human body.
In other words the Pharisees saw Jesus as a man the son of a carpenter whereas the disciples saw the Messiah. The bible tells us that no one ever spoke like him (John 7:46) yet when he spoke people put their faith in him. His words were spirit and they were life yet they were words that would condemn those who did not take them to heart.
I know that his command leads to eternal life. So whatever I say is just what the Father has told me to say." John 12:50
The words of Jesus Christ were spirit and life in addition to the words of truth (John 17:17) his father gave him to speak. Consider this Our Father is the ultimate authority and because of this we live by every word that proceeds from the mouth of God, the same words spoken through Jesus.
God did not send Jesus to judge but to fulfill a law that demanded the death of those who rebelled against God’s authority. The problem was that all men fell short of God’s glory and all men regardless of their stature deserved to die for their sin. Man’s sin needed to be atoned for.
God sent his one and only Son so man would not perish but as the Lamb of God. The death of the Lamb of God substituted as the punishment of our sin but the Lamb of God had to be without blemish or sin. Jesus became the Lamb of God without blemish or sin. His purpose was that those who believe in him may have life, and have it to the full (John 10:10).
In life Jesus was seen as a Rabbi – a teacher who taught his disciples how to live as a child if God. This uniqueness of Christ’s love compelled his disciples to follow Christ and do what Jesus had been doing (John 14:12). Jesus taught this principle;
A student is not above his teacher, but everyone who is fully trained will be like his teacher. Luke 6:40
People were not drawn to him because of his appearance rather he preached the gospel with stories the people could relate to then performed miracles in the sight of men. The bible says we live by faith not by sight but Jesus turned things around. The miracles they saw Jesus perform created faith in him that attracted men to follow him.
In coming, Jesus fulfilled the law written on tablets of stone and became the spirit of the law written on the walls of our heart. Jesus taught to obey him is to love him and gave the following promise
If anyone loves me, he will obey my teaching. My Father will love him, and we will come to him and make our home with him. John 14:23
Has there been any other God that has promised to dwell in his subjects? Love is the authority of God that has the power to command obedience. The love of God is such that it still compels mankind to love and obey him two thousand years after his death and resurrection. Deuteronomy 19:21 reflects the principle a life for a life. He died for us and demands we give our lives to him of our free will, something Christians never regret. He demonstrated his love for us (Romans 5:8) and because his love overflowed to mankind we are able to love him, cling to him, trust in Him and desire to be complete in him. Jesus is an ever-present helper and lover of our soul.
The uniqueness of our Savior is demonstrated through his promise to never leave us nor forsake us and that he would be with us until the end of the age. Jesus is faithful to his word and because he is faithful to every promise of his we can expect to live with him through eternity.
The disciples were devastated seeing their hope of eternal life and their Messiah die on a Roman cross. It was a cruel death that no one survived and so the disciples had no doubt that their hopes were extinguished all because their Jesus was dead. Since Jesus was without sin God would not allow the body of Jesus to see decay and like Lazarus God raised Jesus from the tomb.
Suddenly the disciples were frightened as the Lamb God provided stood in their presence. His resurrection confounded his disciples as they were certain he was no longer living. Although they had seen him perform one miracle after another they did not understand that man could not kill Life itself but that Jesus laid his life down for mankind.
Jesus was unique through death because his body was seen as lifeless by those who placed him in the tomb but in the days that followed was never found to prove death had occurred.
For as the Father has life in himself, so he has granted the Son to have life in himself. John 5:26
It is through faith that we believe that Jesus was crucified for our sins and was raised to life again. Through this belief we are justified by God and marked in Christ with a seal. Acting on our faith we give our lives to Christ by publicly declaring Jesus as our Lord and Savior. Jesus was exalted to the right hand of God and given a name above all others. That every knee should bow and every mouth will confess that Jesus is Lord. Therefore;

His ascension was unique. After completing his ministry; the body of Jesus along with the scars from his suffering and his divine spirit ascended to the right hand of God. He returned to be made king and to prepare a place for us that we may be with him throughout eternity.
His life was planned out before the beginning of time and in living fulfilled more than three hundred prophetic promises. That in itself is not only unique but the credible nature of our creator. Let’s be thankful that God not only prepared a plan for Jesus to demonstrate God’s love for his creation. He also prepared a plan for the salvation of mankind one that when applied to our lives we would have life and have it more abundantly.
Jesus was unique as a God as he came to serve mankind not to subdue mankind into submission. He came with the uniqueness of truth and love, two of the most powerful powers of persuasion to gain your free will.
Very rarely will anyone die for a righteous man, though for a good man someone might possibly dare to die. But God demonstrates his own love for us in this: While we were still sinners, Christ died for us. Romans 5:7-8
He was sent to demonstrate the immensity and grace of God’s love for you. Jesus was unique in that he and our heavenly father did not want anyone to perish (2 Peter 3:9), but come to repentance through the knowledge of Jesus Christ. in that plan God provided a way so that a person separated from God by sin may not remain estranged from him (2 Samuel 14:14).
